Our Story
Founded in September 2023 by veteran journalist, researcher, and analyst Srećko Latal, Spire offers unique, tailored analytical services for international consulting firms, non-governmental organizations, governments, embassies, and other organizations.
With over 30 years of regional experience and a wide network of local contacts and professionals, we conduct a broad range of research and analytical projects across the Balkans, including Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Serbia, Slovenia, and Turkey. Our deep understanding of regional dynamics and international influences – such as China, Russia, the US, and the EU – enables us to provide expert insights into the political, economic, and security aspects of the region.

Srećko Latal
Srećko Latal, the founder of Spire, is an experienced analyst specializing in political, economic, and security issues in the Balkans, with collaborations in organizations such as Oxford Analytica, Janes IHS, and BIRN.
He is the recipient of the prestigious “Knight of the Order of the Star of Italian Solidarity” award for his contribution to the cooperation between Italy and Bosnia and Herzegovina. He has extensive experience in leading teams and providing strategic analysis for international clients.
